Marriage

Today evening when I was simply chatting wit my frnds, the topic of marriage came into the discussion. The question that arised was "Why marriage?" a really simple question..but that simple question created a lot of questions n conflicts in my mind...I believe in leading a life which is a very normal one... it contains the usual saga of getting married, having kids, n growing them up n then death.. I tried to answer the question by reciting the above points but r they really answers.. and how abt the accuracy of my answers??Am I right? the counter question I received were wil we get the happiness we thought about by marrying some person?? Frankly speaking, I dont know ...but I know one thing.. It was my parents who sacrificed their thought their aims, their aspiration and brought up me upto this level..again there are lot of counter arguments if we think abt it

I stopped thinking abt counter arguments n all the things but my thinking is only this much...If my parents reached so far after all the normal so called struggles in life and if they find happiness in it now, I love n like that happiness and I am after that happiness which they are having now....

That was a touching post Anil :-)
I really respect your perspective and way of thinking. Shows a lot of affection for your parents. And I believe anyone who dont love their parents, can never love anyone else. Exceptions are there of course especially in these days when you hear shocking stories of child abuse.

I didn't know that you had a blog, Anil!!

Read the post, and what should I say!! Your product can sell only if you believe in it. I may or may not agree with you, but you do, and that's the most important thing. :) Wish you the best in life, and will pray that you get kids who'll take care of you and your wife the way you take care of your parents! :)

hmm, thats true. If you agree with that, then that's the way it should be.
Unfortunately for me, and even more unfortunate for my parents,I'm not sure I'll be content with just that. or so I think now. i'm not sure. Let's wait n watch what the future has in store:)

Good one Anil. The concept of marriage is quite natural, I mean no one would have had to spend days and months to come up with that;)
The concept of making it a long term arrangement was probably thought up by a committee of very old men:)
But, probably that was the next logical step, just an extra safeguard people added so children grow up alright.

Maybe it's a sacrifice, but as you rightly say, without some people making that sacrifice, would me and you and all of us who argue against marriage be here and be just as happy and carefree? I doubt.
